Retro 14 Jordan Shoes For Basketball

Get ready for the return of the Air Jordan XIV. This holiday season will see several releases of this legendary Jordan shoe. This is the same shoe that Michael Jordan wore before leaving the game of basketball. As we all know, he sure went out in style! Michael dropped 45 points on the Utah Jazz as he and the Bulls earned their sixth NBA Championship. The same game that MJ dropped Byron Russell to his knees and hit the game-winning shot with 5.2 seconds remaining on the clock. This dagger embedded in the hearts of all Jazz fans would come to be known as the "Last Shot".

The Air Jordan XIV last surfaced in 2005 and will again "see the light of day" several times this coming winter. The first of these colorways to release will be the Light Graphite/Midnight Navy-Black colorway. A textured grey upper is used in conjunction with navy and black accents. Light Graphite is used on a high quality nubuck leather upper. The midsole features black with navy blue accents. The shoe is finished off with a white outsole. This Jordan 14 will release on October 8 at select Jordan retailers. This is just the beginning of the drops this shoe will see in the next few months. Perhaps the most epic drop will be the XIV "Last Shot" colorway which was the shoe that Jordan wore that fateful night in Salt Lake City. This is the most sought after colorway of the legendary Jordan XIV. And this coming December you will have a chance to cop a pair.

The Air Jordan 14′s were designed by legendary Tinker Hatfield. Hatfield used Jordan's Ferrari 550M as the inspiration for the design of the shoe. The Air Jordan 14 was the first Jordan shoe to use metal tips. Each shoe featured 7 jumpmen on the back of the shoe bringing the total to 14. The back of the Air Jordan 14′s also displayed Roman numerals for all to see. In, 2005, when first released as a Retro, the XIV was dropped in a record number of 8 different colorways. Don't expect that many this time. But the colorways that do release will be quite enough to satisfy any avid Jordanhead.

The Jordan XIV Retros that are coming our way are truly a piece of history. This was the last pair of Jordan shoes for basketball that Michael wore before leaving the NBA with 6 Championship Rings.
